Project and Product are main business terms in IT industry. There are many IT service providing organizations that are assisting many big business brands in the world. All the services provided to these business brands are treated as a Project in the IT service based organizations. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Patni all IT giants are service based organizations.

Similarly there are many product based organizations like Idea, Airtel, Vodafone, MakeMytrip, Naukri, Flipkart etc. All theirs business depends upon theirs products. 

Both terms shows the different aspects of development and its quality. We will discuss here major challenges faced in Project development and Product development. 

Project Development Challenges:

• Designing of DB, UI and Business Logic/API from scratch
• Resource skills availability as per the requirements
• Meeting the deadline
• Issues is found at the end of the development the it gives bad impact on the project

Product Development Challenges:

• Updating existing business logic to address and append new changes in the product
• Huge regression impact on the product even for minor changes made in a small product functionality
• Vast scope for validation and verification
• Frequent releases and consistent quality check
• Very hard to find root cause analysis
